If you had the opportunity to change your appearance, would you?
I have a confession to make. Monday’s post was about being real and authentic, and how I’m trying to do that, but there’s something that’s a little bit fake on my website. It dawned on me after I wrote that post on Monday. And I guess it was intentional, but I didn’t mean to be putting a lie out there, just a better picture of me. My headshot has been doctored on.
My daughter introduced me to www.ipiccy.com, and I fell in love with the “remove wrinkles” feature. It took me back ten years (maybe a few more). But it also puts a picture out there that’s not completely accurate. So to set the record straight, I’ve posted both pictures. The doctored one (to the left) and the indubitable one (right). Personally, I don’t actually think it’s a lie, but it did cross my mind as not being the real me. Of course, if I wanted to put a picture of the real me on here, I would have a pony tail, sweatpants, and a long-sleeved t-shirt on!
What would you do? If you had the opportunity to change your appearance, would you?
Both are beautiful! But I prefer the real one!
