I’m so glad to see you again. I’ve missed you. What’s it been? An entire year? I’ve needed you, but I understand why you had to stay away, what with all those days and months that needed to happen. But here you are again, and that makes me happy. I like fresh starts. (I need them.) Maybe that’s why I like Mondays…they’re sort of a fresh start to each week. I know Sundays are the first day of the week, but Sundays are a day all to themselves really. They’re already special.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I plan to take some special time tomorrow for just you and me. (I was traveling most of the day today, so now I’m late, and you’re having to wait on me!) I’m not really going to make a list of resolutions cause those don’t usually work out for me, and the changes I hope to make I want to last past the third week of January. So I thought we could have a cup of coffee and think and ponder, and pray and peruse my new Bible and maybe get a better sense of which direction this little journey I’m on should take.
We won’t call these resolutions, but goals, and I won’t feel like a failure if I don’t meet them, but I’ll realize that even through the trying I’m being changed.
I’m smiling just thinking about our time together. Thank you so much for showing up. See you tomorrow!
PS. I also missed all my sweet friends who stop by Messed Up and Broken….Loved and Forgiven. I needed those few weeks away, but I’m definitely ready to be back. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and your new year is off to a splendid start!
